Vicktor's Tourny, Round One I was at an obvious disadvantage in this particular arena. Especially with the ability of my opponent. They used shadows, and in this arena, there was nothing BUT shadows. There was no doubt this would end badly for me if I didn’t finish this fight soon.Vicktor's Tourny, Round One by firewyrm2018
But I couldn’t see a thing. Between my mask and the smog, I could barely make anything out. It was tempting to smash one of my precious vials of water just to be rid of this bulky form, but I had to conserve them.
Plus, that would mean leaving my other vials behind, and those were also vital.
Perhaps it wasn’t water I needed, but fire...
I shook my head and continued to look for my opponent. I had to save that vial as well. I rubbed my neck nervously.
Where WERE they?
I glanced expectantly downwards, hoping for advice from my sister, before remembering she was watching me fight from the stands. The fact that I hadn't seen m

It was almost the same as not signing up to fight at all, right?
Just like her mother had warned her. Do not enter the tournament. Drop out, she had said.
But so far, Melusine seemed to be doing just fine. She had heard, at least, that her new opponent, a student by the name of Vicktor, was not very strong. Melusine was confident that she could defeat him, at least. He was apparently some kind of… dragon? No, not a dragon. A Lindworm. Well, that was a type of dragon, actually, but one with much more similarity to a wyvern or a serpent than the dragons Melusine had read about. And he was certainly a far cry from the sea dragons that Melusine knew, the ones that featured in so many Asian myths. Melusine was quite curious about just what a lindworm was like…. especially in combat. Someone had told her that Vicktor was pretty good at Elementalism, with a preference for Firemancy. Tourney round 2 Aiden closed her eyes, drowning out the sounds of the crowd. She could vaguely hear the announcer, but apart from that she just focused on building up her fire. She took a deep breath, but felt her pulse quicken regardless. She was excited, excited to see her opponent, excited to fight, excited to see their abilities... The fire was burning through her veins, and she opened her eyes again, grinning widely.Tourney round 2 by ravenwings52
It was a pity she hadn't gotten to know her opponent before the tournament, but maybe she could talk to her afterwards? Honestly, the only thing Aiden knew was her name. Shira. It was a nice name, she thought. But, in its own way, it was nice not knowing her opponent at all. This way, it'd be a surprise. Anything that happened would be new.
She tried to size her opponent up properly, but it was hard to concentrate properly. She shook her head. Look. There. Shira seemed to be about her size, so tackling could be easier... As long as she
